The Aplos Medical team has a combined experience of introducing over 200 products to the market. These include disposable and implantable medical devices in urology, orthopedics, cardiology, surgery, biologics, in-vitro diagnostics, and more.

Currently, Aplos Medical is focused on a next-era treatment for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) to help physicians improve the lives of patients. We work closely with researchers, manufacturers, clinicians, and others to develop Omega PF™ to be the turning point of GERD treatments in meeting the unmet needs of patients. Our mission is to provide practical, effective, and safe products to benefit patients, medical professionals, and third-party payers.

OUR PRODUCT

A new approach to acid reflux disease.

Omega PF™ is a simple and safe product implanted with a straight-forward laparoscopic procedure. The small Ω-shaped device is designed to prevent excessive acid from entering the esophagus while allowing much of the normal swallowing process to remain intact. It is designed to minimize dysphagia and side effects common to other GERD treatments.

On August 18, 2023, a new anti-reflux surgical procedure was performed for the first time in history by UT Health Austin board-certified surgeon F. P. “Tripp” Buckley III, MD, FACS, who serves as the Surgical Director of Digestive Health, a clinical partnership between Ascension Seton and UT Health Austin. The surgery was performed as part of a research study evaluating the Omega PF™, a new device developed to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
